Paralegal 

Jarrett & Price is currently seeking a full-time paralegal to primarily assist attorneys with our family law practice.  Primary duties will include drafting and preparing motions and other legal documents, organizing case files, filing documents with the court, scheduling mediations, hearings, and/or trials, communicating with clients, keeping accurate records of all communication, expenses, case documents, and time entries related to client matters, and keeping attorneys informed on the status of each case.  Additionally, this position will provide administrative assistance by answering incoming calls, responding to email and web inquiries, and assisting with other practice areas as needed.  

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a family law paralegal in Chatham County
  • Driver’s license (position requires use of personal vehicle within 60 mile radius to file documents with court, mail documents, pick up police reports, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office, Internet, Apple operating systems)

Legal Assistant

Jarrett & Price is currently seeing a part-time legal assistant to primarily assist attorneys with our immigration practice.  Primary duties will include preparing appropriate forms, organizing case files, scheduling client appointments, keeping accurate records of all communication, expenses, case documents, and time entries related to each client matter, communicating with clients, and keeping attorneys informed regarding the status of each case.  Additionally, this position will include administrative assistance by answering incoming phone calls, responding to email and web inquiries, and assisting with other practice areas as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish speaking candidates preferred)
  • High School Diploma (candidates with a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred)
  • 1-2 years experience working in sales, marketing, or administrative assistance
  • Driver’s license (position requires use of personal vehicle within 60 mile radius to file documents with court, mail documents, pick up police reports, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
